UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, is pleased to announce the election results for Chair and Vice-Chair for its Associations Committee. The elected industry leaders will begin their three-year mandate at the 93rd UFI Global Congress in November 2026.

The future Chair and Vice-Chair are:

Chair: Jörn Holtmeier – Managing Director, AUMA (Association of the German Trade Fair Industry), Germany

Vice-Chair: Synthia Chan – Council Chairperson, Macau Fair & Trade Association, Macau

Chair: Jörn Holtmeier

Vice-Chair: Synthia Chan

Both Jörn Holtmeier and Synthia Chan have been re-elected to their respective positions. In his role as Chair, Jörn will also serve on the UFI Executive Committee and Board of Directors. As Vice-Chair, Synthia will also serve on the UFI Board of Directors.

The UFI Associations Committee works to identify, collaborate and advocate on key issues for the associations representing the exhibition industry at local, regional and global levels.

Through open dialogue and cross-border cooperation, the committee addresses critical industry topics, highlights the sector’s impact through data and research, and amplifies the collective voice of the exhibition industry on the international stage.

The Committee comprises over 75 national, regional and international exhibition industry associations worldwide.

UFI President, Panittha Buri, comments: “On behalf of UFI, I congratulate Jörn and Synthia on their re-election, and thank them for their continued dedication.

The Associations Committee is a powerful reflection of what UFI is built on: collective strength, shared knowledge, and a genuine commitment to the industry we all serve. With over 75 associations represented, it plays a vital role in ensuring our members’ voices are heard at every level.

I look forward to working alongside them as we continue to serve and strengthen our global community.”

Elections for UFI’s governing bodies continue in 2026, with the online voting period for the UFI Regional Chapter now open.

Running from 6 April to 6 May 2026, this year’s elections have attracted a strong field of candidates standing for the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair across all five chapters.

Representatives of UFI Full Members and head offices of Group Members are eligible to vote, and were sent their voting instructions by email on 6 April 2026.
